Fixed Wireless Enterprise Class dedicated internet access circuits are delivered by terrestrial fixed wireless typically with a point-to-point microwave design. This class of service delivers 5mbps to 10+gbps of internet bandwidth with a full Service Level Agreement (SLA). It is equivalent to fiber internet services in performance. Fixed Wireless Enterprise Class circuits are often used as an alternative to fiber internet or as a second totally diverse connection.
What Is Ethernet Transport?
Fixed Wireless Ethernet Transport (MPLS, VPLS, E-LAN, EVPL, E-Line, etc.) circuits are delivered by terrestrial fixed wireless with a point to point microwave design. This class of service delivers 5 Mbps to 10+Gbps of point-to-point bandwidth with a full Service Level Agreement (SLA). It is equivalent to fiber Ethernet services in performance. Fixed Wireless Ethernet Transport circuits are often used as an alternative for fiber Ethernet or as a second totally diverse connection. The difference between Enterprise Class and Ethernet Transport services is that one is for internet access while the other is for private connectivity between two locations (typically terminating to an NNI at a major data center).
