2pifi, Inc. is a fixed wireless carrier aggregator providing Fixed Wireless services across the 50 United States of America, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada. 2pifi’s services are all delivered using fixed wireless microwave technology.
The services are broken into three main categories.
Ethernet Transport
Fixed Wireless Ethernet Transport circuits are delivered by terrestrial fixed wireless with a point to point microwave design. This class of service delivers 5mbps to 1+gbps of point-to-point bandwidth with a full Service Level Agreement (SLA). It is equivalent to fiber Ethernet services in performance. Fixed Wireless Ethernet Transport circuits are often used as an alternative for fiber Ethernet or as a second totally diverse connection. The difference between Enterprise Class and Ethernet Transport services is that one is for internet access while the other is for private connectivity between two locations (typically terminating to an NNI at a major data center).
Enterprise Class
Fixed Wireless Enterprise Class dedicated internet access circuits are delivered by terrestrial fixed wireless typically with a point-to-point microwave design. This class of service delivers 5mbps to 1+gbps of internet bandwidth with a full Service Level Agreement (SLA). It is equivalent to fiber internet services in performance. Fixed Wireless Enterprise Class circuits are often used as an alternative for fiber internet or as a second totally diverse connection.
Business Class
Fixed Wireless Business Class broadband internet services are delivered by terrestrial fixed wireless (not satellite) point to multi-point technologies. This service is not the same as a cellular based service and should not be confused with geosynchronous satellite (which has to travel round trip through nearly 45,000 miles of the earth’s atmosphere with latency of over 500ms). Business Class bandwidth ranges from 5x2mbps to 50x10mbps (depending on the local infrastructure). Latency is normally under 70ms round trip to common places on the internet. This service does not have any data caps on its usage (it is unlimited and never throttled).
2pifi focuses on the small percentage of sites that are considered hard to reach for connectivity by aggregating over 700 fixed wireless internet service providers to cover the locations no one else will.
